Health and Well-Being :

We began the new school year exploring our new classroom and making new friends.

We also harvested some crops from our garden and made a delicious leek and potato soup! 


 

Humanities 

Our topic this term is Fairy Tales and Castles and we have been learning about Weobley Castle, castle features and have been creating a timeline to show how long ago castles existed. We have been sharing the learning at home by making some wonderful castles! 

 

Maths and Numeracy 

We have been learning about Place Value and Tens and Ones. We have been using mathematical vocabulary and number lines to compare and order numbers.

 

Literacy, Language and Communication.

We have been exploring the beautiful book 'The Last Wolf' by Mini Grey and have been using drama to explore the characters and create our own poems. 

 

Expressive Arts 

We took part in a drama workshop to explore our topic and learn about Weobley Castle. 

Science and Technology

We are learning about different metals and where they come from. We are beginning to investigate the properties of different metals to answer the scientific question 'Do all metals have the same properties?'
