Expressive Arts
We explored the artwork of Paul Klee and his 'Castle and Sun' and then had a go at imitating his style to create our own art.
We became confident and creative individuals and took part in our own Christmas Play. Our acting and singing were FABULOUS!!
Health and Well-being
We enjoyed the end of term by celebrating Christmas with a delicious Christmas dinner with all our friends and wearing our Christmas jumpers.
We have enjoyed planting and caring for our new wildlife garden and this will now be part of our rest and relaxation area in our yard.
We were treated to an amazing performance of 'Shrek', at the Theatre Einon, Gorseinon, by the students of Gower College ....WOW, what a fantastic production. We absolutely loved it! We also took a few tips for our Christmas performance!
Maths and numeracy
We have been developing our addition and subtraction skills and have been exploring all the different strategies we can use!
Humanities
We have learnt lots about castles this term and in particular, the features of castles and how castles differ from houses we live in today.
We visited our friends at Tabernacle Church for a Christmas Service and took part in and listened to the meaning of the Christmas story.
Literacy, language and communication
We have been learning about 'Narrative' texts and have learnt the story of 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff', using Pie Corbett's Talk for Writing strategies. We were able to innovate this story, producing our own versions ...what great authors we are becoming!
