Our wonderful Penguins enjoying their first Easter Parade
🌼 Happy Easter 🐣 2025 / Pasg Hapus 🐣 2025 🌼
Dear Parents and Carers,
What a brilliant way to round off a fantastic Spring Term!
A huge thank you for your continued support and encouragement throughout the term. We've shared so many special moments together, and the final week was no exception — full of Easter cheer, tradition, and togetherness.
A big thank you to our fabulous Friends of the School (FoP) for organising the Easter Escape activity — the children had so much fun! The Gower Ladies Darts recently donated £250 to the Friends of Penclawdd. Many thanks for the generous donation.
We`d like to thank our wonderful friends from Swn y Gan who organised a special visit from the Penclawdd Easter Bunny and donated all the eggs for the N-Y2 Easter parade . DIOLCH !
Our Y3–Y6 “Eggs On Our Hill” event was a resounding success — a perfect mix of fun, laughter, and healthy competition. It was wonderful to see our older children having a great time, cheering each other on, and showing real team spirit. A huge well done to all families and children for the amazing effort put into decorating the eggs — from Wicked to glitter, Dogman to Superman, they were superb! Click here to enjoy !
Meanwhile, our youngest learners stole the show! Nursery children proudly paraded their magnificent hats and bonnets in the hall – a truly delightful and colourful celebration. Enjoy this little video.
Reception to Year 2 joined in the Easter fun too with a spectacular outdoor parade — the sun was shining and the Easter Bunny even made an appearance!
A very special thank you to Mrs Percival, Mrs Garcia, Mrs Thomas, and Miss B, who kindly gave up their evenings with their own families to take Year 5 and Year 6 on a fun-filled residential visit to the Urdd Centre in Cardiff. The children had a brilliant time exploring Tree Top Golf, swimming at the National Pool, travelling across the water on the Princess Katherine water taxi, bowling, dancing at a silent disco, and even visiting the Senedd — to name just a few highlights! The children were a credit to the school and made some unforgettable memories.
Before you head off for a well-deserved break, don’t forget to take a moment to browse our End of Spring Term Class Blogs. They’re bursting with photos, stories, and lovely reflections on all the fantastic learning, creativity, and fun that’s happened this term.
As we come to the end of another busy term, I’d like to take a moment to say a huge thank you to every single member of our amazing staff team.#TeamPenclawdd truly are something special — dedicated, passionate, and always going the extra mile to provide the very best learning experiences for every child. Their care, creativity, and commitment shine through in everything they do. They’ve more than earned a well-deserved rest over the holidays — thank you for everything you do!
We wish you a truly joyful and relaxing Easter break — filled with family time, chocolatey treats, and (fingers crossed!) a bit of spring sunshine too.
Warmest wishes,
Mrs R-M
