HT Weekly News
11th October 2024
Dear Parents/Carers,
This week, we celebrated Mental Health Awareness Day with a warm and meaningful event across the school. It was wonderful to see each classroom adorned with a splash of yellow, symbolizing our commitment to raising awareness. We spent time having heartfelt conversations about the special people in our lives and those we can always turn to for support. Cups of tea were shared, biscuits were dunked, and smiles were abundant! The staff also enjoyed a delicious brunch, making the day even more special. #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek

Children attending this week have had a great time. In Art Club they had the opportunity to design some beautiful mandalas
Shwmae Day
Shwmae Day 2024 is on Tuesday 15th of October. To celebrate this Welsh language day, we will be inviting the children to come to school in their Welsh attire or Welsh colours. The children can bring in 50p for a Welsh flag face paint. The money raised will go towards future Welsh enrichment days. Criw Cymraeg will be walking around our community businesses on Monday finding out if our Welsh language posters have encouraged our community to 'rho gynnig arni' (give it a go!). Our Criw will also be sharing posters to promote 'Shwmae Day' in the community on Tuesday. Shwmae day is all about having fun with our language and in class each class has decided on their chosen activity and missions will be in Welsh next week. We are even giving it a go by teaching and talking an entire lesson in as much Welsh as possible!
Christmas Shoe Box appeal 2024 - please see letter sent via Seesaw
This year, our school community is once again participating in the Tabernacle Christmas Shoe Box Appeal 2024! Parents and children are working together to fill shoeboxes with toys, school supplies, and personal care items for children in need around the world. This heartwarming initiative encourages children to embrace the spirit of giving during the holiday season. We’re excited to see the generosity of our families and look forward to making a positive impact. Thank you to everyone who is contributing! Let’s make this Christmas special for those less fortunate.
