Dear Parents/ Guardians
Last week we had our wonderful Dydd Miswsig Cymru/Well-being event for our community.
πΆπ Dydd Miwsig Cymru & Children’s Mental Health Day – A Morning of Music, Kindness & Community! ππΆ
On Friday morning, we came together to celebrate Dydd Miwsig Cymru and Children’s Mental Health Day in the most meaningful way. Our children wanted to give something back to the older generation in our community, and with the help of our fantastic Senedd and Criw, they planned a truly special event.
π΅ Wonderful musical performances
π² A fun game enjoyed by all
π° Delicious refreshments & cake
π An exciting raffle with fantastic prizes
A huge diolch to Roma, Cariad, CK’s, and Crofty Supermarket for their generous raffle donations, and to everyone who joined us—it was a morning full of joy, laughter, and togetherness. π
We’ve been touched by the lovely words we’ve received about our recent community event. Knowing it brought smiles & joy means the world to us! A huge thank you to everyone who came along, supported, &shared such kind messages—we’re so glad we could make you smile.

Attendance and Lateness
Just a reminder that we start the school day at 8.50 a.m. Lateness means lost learning—please be on time for school!
Are you aware that...
- 5 minutes late each day = 2.5 days lost per year!
- 10 minutes late each day = 5 days lost per year!
- 15 minutes late each day = 7.5 days lost per year!
- 20 minutes late each day = 10 days lost per year!
- 30 minutes late each day = 15 days lost per year!
Every minute counts—arriving on time ensures the best start to the day!
Our LA Attendance Officer will be conducting lateness school visits over the next few weeks and chatting to parents/carers to see how they can support you if you are struggling with getting your child/ren to school on time.
Friends of Penclawdd

Friends of Penclawdd fundraising for our School
From now until March 31st Penclawdd Primary School is one of the 3 charities you can vote for with Tesco blue tokens π΅
If we get the most votes, we get £1500 for the school, 2nd place £1000 and 3rd £500.
We are fundraising to be able to have some new thermoplastic playground markings to promote outdoor play and learning, whilst encouraging children to be active at the same time.
There are 10 stores around Swansea with the school as an option. Fforestfach and Gowerton are two of them. Please see our Facebook page for more information.
Please pass the message to all friends and family. It would be amazing if the school were to receive the full £1500.
Penclawdd Primary School lottery
We hope to raise funds that can support and enrich the education of our children - we aim to provide extra resources for the children, improve the school environment as well as run extracurricular activities such as music, art and sport.
Your support is greatly appreciated, and we wish you good luck! To buy tickets please click here
