Rights of the child : June 2024 - Article 6 - Right to life and to be healthy
It was lovely to have some sunshine this week, let's hope it continues. We are looking forward to Llanmorlais Carnival tomorrow and can't wait to see our choir perform. Many children entered their art work, this will be displayed in the hall.
Summer Fayre - 4th July 3.10pm
Many thanks for your donations today. We have a great selection of prizes for the Tombola stall. If you have any teddies or cuddly toys for the teddy bear stall please bring them in. We are also receiving donations of cakes. Many thanks for your support.

No further Teacher led after school clubs (28th June 2024)
Please note that this is our final week of after school teacher led clubs.
I'm sure everyone will agree that clubs have been very popular and enjoyed by children. The lunchtime clubs are especially busy and a great way of keeping our children entertained and keeping fit. Many thanks to staff who have provided these sessions.
New clubs will restart in the new academic year.
NEWS from Swansea Council re Year 6 free school meals
Further to previous correspondence, we are pleased to announce we will be rolling out free school meals to all year 6 pupils from 2 September 2024 (after summer holidays). Please note this will be automatic and there will be no requirement to apply for the meals. This completes the roll out of universal free school meals to all year groups in primary schools
School Essential Grant
All information on the SEG can be found on the Swansea Council Website: School Essentials Grant (formerly school uniform grant - PDG access) - Swansea.
The grant applications will run from 01 July 2024 to 31 May 2025.
To clarify, children (with the exception of LAC), must be in receipt of Free School Meals (FSM) in order to qualify. This does not include the children on universal FSM or Transitionally Protected FSM. Parents of children on universal FSM will need to apply for FSM in order to qualify.
North Gower Food Hub

Holiday Club
Child's play are running a holiday club for children who attend our school but this will be held in Crwys Primary School. If you are interested in booking a session please see the above link to complete a booking form.

Clubs news this week...
🍽️After school cooking club🍽️
Our youngest learners made animal biscuits plus home made ice cream! What a treat. We were all very impressed with our new ice cream machine and can't wait to explore how to make smoothies and milkshakes.
Penclawdd Euros are underway!
On Friday we completed the group stages. Next week is the knock outs and the FINAL will take place during the last week of term.
Rhythm and Rhyme for Summer term
We had a last Rhythm and Rhyme this week. What a wonderful year it's been. Many thanks for Ms Smith for organising this. More next year! BUT We also have something else exciting planned.
