HT Weekly News - 27/9/24

Please enter an introduction for your news story here.

  • Dear Parents/Carers,

What a busy week. On Monday Y4/5 went to Harry Potter World for their engage experience for their topic `Potions`. On Tuesday Y3/4 went to the Wetlands for their engage for their topic `On our doorstep`.

We were incredibly proud when Y4/5 staff, pupils and parent helpers received this wonderful letter , emailed to the school, from a member of the public...

This is just a random email that I thought I would send and I’m hoping I have the correct age group school . I was travelling home on Monday late afternoon and bumped into a group of children wearing their Penclawdd School Florescent waistcoats all queuing beautifully by the toilets . The teachers were very organised , and I wanted to say how very polite and well behaved the children were  . I followed them out and it was a pleasure to see a group so happy , polite and very well behaved . I was an early years teacher for 20 years and have four children of my own and many school trips under my belt and I just wanted to commend your group teachers and children for showing how it should be done and to say  they represented your school fabulously . Keep up the good work 👍

    Jazz the travelling dog 🐶

  • Y4/5 were incredibly fortunate this week to be entrusted with Jazz  the travelling dog. He was given to them in Harry Potter World. Jazz has left  Sweden to embark on his travel adventures around the works. He was introduced in assembly - see here.

  • Some lucky pupils will be coming home with him soon , so he can experience our beautiful Gower.  We’ve already been in touch with the school in Sweden to let them know he’s safe in Penclawdd Primary. See pics below.

Welcome to Penclawdd Primary School lottery. This lottery has been set up specifically to raise money and make a difference for our children!

We hope to raise funds that can support and enrich the education of our children - we aim to provide extra resources for the children, improve the school environment as well as run extracurricular activities such as music, art and sport.
